Los Angeles Tourist Itinerary Day 3

The third day will be a special one for you in my opinion. You will see L.A. from above by venturing to the look-out spots that made Hollywood famous. Incredible architecture and mind-blowing art will also make an impression on you in today's adventure! Today will be quite a bit more relaxed so feel free to sleep in a little and get yourself ready to experience the cultured side of Los Angeles.
  • Figaro Cafe
    1. Breakfast at Figaro
Head into Los Feliz Village on Vermont Blvd. between Franklin Blvd and Hollywood Blvd. This quaint little oasis will be the perfect way for you to start this magical day. When you get there, reserve yourself an outside table at Figaro Cafe. Serving amazing French pastries, freshly brewed coffee and the best atmosphere in Los Angeles, you are sure to start the day in proper L.A. style! And do not be afraid to sit and people-watch over breakfast, nobody here will force the bill on you. Relax for as long as your heart desires, strike up a conversation with whoever is sitting next to you or simply enjoy the company of your friends. This is a great way to start the day no matter what the season is.
  • Griffith-Park-Observatory
    2. Griffith Park Observatory
After a fulfilling breakfast, make your way over to the Griffith Park Observatory. Perched at the peak of what was once the largest urban park in the US, The Observatory's unique architecture and setting, compelling laser shows, and cinematic exposure will make this a delight for your senses. Stroll through the Samuel Oschin Planetarium, don't be shy about stepping up to the giant telescope and gazing at the sky, it's free, and don't you dare leave without seeing the show about the history of the observatory in the revolutionary Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theatre. The entire show is only 18 minutes long and is narrated by Mr. Nimoy himself.
  • View from Mulholland Drive at Night
    3. Mulholland Drive
Having captivated Silver Screen Audiences for decades with its' picturesque scenic viewing areas, Mulholland Dr. achieved infamy in David Lynch's 2001 classic movie, appropriately name Mulholland Dr. Drive slowly and let the top down if your car allows. Immerse yourserlf in the winding scenic road that follows the peaks and canyons of the Hollywood Hills, which are littered with multi-million dollar mansions occupied by the Hollywood Elite. Follow it all the way to Interstate 405, hop on heading South and just a few miles down will be your next destination, the J. Paul Getty Museum.
  • J. Paul Getty Museum
    4. J. Paul Getty Museum
The postcard views from this hilltop Italian travertine marble marvel, are sure to floor just about anybody. The oohs and aah are heard from spectators all around as you carry on through the enormous art collection and lay your eyes upon the gorgeous landscaped gardens. This facility cost nearly a billion dollars to build (worth every penny in my opinion) and best of all, entrance to the Getty Center is 100% free!
I'm sure that by now you're hungry and hopefully the sun is starting to set. Make your way to the Getty Center Garden Terrace Cafe which serves lunch in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking the Central Garden. This will be the perfect place from which to see the sunset and bring this magical day to a dreamy end.
  • House of Blues
    5. House of Blues
If you're not too tired and want to do something fun and exciting before going to bed then head over to the sunset strip for dinner and a show at the House of Blues. This world-famous venue has all-star acts performing nightly so do yourself a favor and make a night out of it. Reserve a table at the upstairs restaurant, eat some mouthwatering southern-style comfort food and enjoy the show.
